Executive advisory · Change management · Org design

Projects rarely fail from lack of effort. They fail from lack of alignment.

I partner with C-suite leaders to break silos, get to the root cause of stalled initiatives, and build the program and change management muscle your organization keeps long after I leave.

Strategy Capital & opex Delivery
One connected path across the units that usually plan alone.

The diagnosis

Why good projects stall

The failure is almost never the team. It is the way the enterprise plans, funds, and connects the work. Three patterns show up again and again.

No interconnectedness

Units across the enterprise or institution run their own initiatives with no shared view of dependencies, priorities, or sequencing. Everyone is busy. Nothing lands together.

Disconnected capital and opex plans

Capital and operating plans are built separately across key units, so funding, staffing, and timelines never reconcile. Projects start funded and finish orphaned.

Poor planning, surfaced too late

Scope, resourcing, and readiness gaps that could have been caught in week two show up in month nine, when they are expensive and political to fix.

How I work

Partner. Advise. Build. Train. Upskill.

Every engagement follows the same arc: earn trust as a partner, advise on the hard calls, then build capability your teams own.

Partner

I sit alongside your leadership team as a trusted partner, not a vendor at arm's length.

Advise

Clear-eyed counsel on what to build, buy, or borrow, and what to stop doing entirely.

Build

Stand up the structures, tools, and operating rhythms that make delivery repeatable.

Train

Hands-on training in program and change management for the people who run the work.

Upskill

Coaching that turns your own staff into the in-house capability, so you need me less over time.

Executive coaching

One-on-one work with senior leaders on decision-making, presence, and leading through change.

Leadership alignment

Getting the executive team to one set of priorities, one plan, and one story the organization can follow.

Change management

Structured adoption work so new systems, processes, and org models actually stick.

Org design

Operating models, pods, and reporting structures shaped around the work, not the org chart's history.

Scaling PM and CM capability

Growing program and change management from a few strong individuals into an enterprise discipline.

Build vs buy vs borrow advisory

Honest guidance on when to develop capability in house, when to purchase it, and when to bring it in temporarily.

Ways to work together

Three engagement paths

Most clients start in one of three shapes. All of them are built to transfer capability to your team, not create dependence on mine.

Lead

Enterprise transformation program leadership

I take the wheel on a complex, cross-functional program: governance, cadence, risk, and executive reporting, with your teams doing the work and learning the discipline.

Coach

Fractional executive coaching

Ongoing, part-time access to a senior coach and advisor: working with you on decision-making, leadership presence, operating rhythm, and leading your organization through change.

Advise

Organizational change strategy

Strategy and coaching for a major change: the case for change, stakeholder plan, communications, and the sequencing that keeps people with you.

Engagements are shaped around your needs. Based in South Florida, serving clients nationwide, on site and remote.

Where I've done this

C-suite experience, wherever the work is

The root causes of stalled projects look the same in every industry, and so does the fix. I work across sectors. My most recent main clients are in education and cruise/hospitality.

Recent client work

Cruise & hospitality

Advising executives at one of the world's largest cruise organizations on digital strategy, operating model redesign, vendor transitions, and the program structures behind guest-facing technology.

Recent client work

Education

Partnering with university leadership on finance and HR transformation, resource planning, and building project and change management capability inside the institution.

The common thread: influencing senior leaders, enabling their teams, and scaling what works across the enterprise.

About

Jessica Stadelmann

Jess is the founder and principal consultant of Jess AI Consulting. She has spent her career inside large, complicated organizations, most recently global cruise and hospitality operators and major universities, and the pattern travels: the industries change, the root causes don't.

Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and delivery. She is the person executives call when a critical initiative is drifting, when leadership is not aligned on what matters, or when the organization needs capability it does not yet have.

Clients describe her the same way she describes the goal of every engagement: a trusted partner who leaves the organization stronger than she found it.

FAQ

Common questions

What does Jess AI Consulting do?

Jess AI Consulting partners with C-suite leaders on executive coaching, leadership alignment, change management, and org design. The focus is breaking silos, getting to the root cause of why projects stall, and building program and change management capability inside your organization.

What is fractional executive coaching?

Fractional executive coaching gives a leader ongoing, part-time access to a senior coach and advisor without a full-time hire. Jess works alongside executives on decision-making, leadership presence, operating rhythm, and leading through change.

Which industries does Jess AI Consulting work with?

Any industry. The root causes of stalled projects, silos, disconnected capital and operating plans, and poor planning, look the same everywhere. Most recent main clients are in education and cruise/hospitality.

Can AI fix misaligned projects?

AI can enable alignment through better data, faster analysis, and clearer reporting, but it cannot replace alignment. Leaders still have to agree on priorities, plans, and trade-offs. Jess AI Consulting helps organizations do both well.

Where is Jess AI Consulting located?

Jess AI Consulting is based in South Florida and serves clients nationwide, on site and remote. Use the contact form to start a conversation.

What is organizational design, and when does a company need it?

Organizational design is the work of shaping structure, ownership, decision rights, and reporting around what a company is trying to achieve. It's usually needed when a strategy changes, teams grow faster than their operating model, or projects keep stalling for reasons no single department can fix.

What's the difference between project management and change management?

Project management delivers the solution on time and on budget. Change management makes sure people actually adopt it. Most failed initiatives were managed well as projects and never managed as change.

How does an executive know whether to hire a consultant or build the capability in house?

If the capability is central to how the company competes and will be needed for years, build it in house. If it's specialized and occasional, bring it in. Engagements here are designed to leave the capability behind either way, through coaching and upskilling rather than dependence.

Why do large transformation projects fail?

Rarely for lack of effort. The recurring causes are units planning in isolation, capital and operating plans that never reconcile, and readiness gaps caught far too late. Those are structural problems, not team problems.

What does an engagement look like?

It starts with understanding the strategy and assessing whether structure, process, and people can carry it. From there the work shapes the operating model, builds the program and change practices, and coaches the leaders who will run them.
